Naruda Donaruda Review And Rating Featured
Based on the 2012 Bollywood superhit Vicky Donor, Sumanth starrer Naruda Donaruda grabbed eyeballs with interesting promos. However, the film release got delayed as the court ordered stay on release responding to a plea filed by financer Tallapalli Prasad for producers not paying him his dues. But, the film managed to get released though a bit late after producers cleared the matter. Let us see how this film, based on sperm donation, fares. Pallavi Subhash is the female lead.
Vikram Varma (Sumanth) is romeo with no proper work and spends time roaming with friends. His mother Sweety (Srilakshmi) is always after him for being jobless. This makes Vikram to get a job. Dr. Anjaneyulu (Tanikella Bharani) runs a small infertility clinic in old city. He is in search for a sperm donor for the needs of his patients. In an accidental meeting, Dr. Anjaneyuly asks Vikram to become a sperm donor. Though Vikram didn’t like the proposal initially, okays for the proposal in order to earn money. There starts the sperm business. As life goes on, Vikram meets an assistant manager in bank Ashima (Pallavi Subhash) and their friendship turns into love and they eventually want to marry. While Ashima shares everything with Vikram, he didn’t want to reveal to her that he is a sperm donor. But in some unavoidable circumstances, he had to reveal his secret to his after which Ashima leaves him. The rest of the story is how they both reunite and how Dr. Anjaneylu helped Vikram in this purpose.
This is an entirely new concept to Telugu audience. Sumanth should be lauded for choosing such an unique script. Sumanth did well in his role. Pallavi Subhash is seen in a homely role and her performance in pathos is noteworthy. Tanikella Bharani spilled laughs as the doctor who persuades hero to become sperm donor.
Our culture teaches us not to speak some matters in public. But change in technology has brought in change in generation. But based on a new technology, it should be said that this film doesn’t manage to appeal mostly. Sumanth couldn’t match the performance of his bollywood counterpart. He is seen jittery in the first half where he is seen as a common man, though he is just okay in the second part in emotional scenes. This film revolves only around the two characters of Vikram and Dr. Anjaneyuly. Naga Chaitanya's entrance in the climax is good. Production values show that this film is made at a very low budget. This film might not reach the expectations of audience. Family audience will definitely not like this type of films.
Rating can be 2/5.
